**Title: TikToker’s False Claim of Rare Megalodon Capture Sets Social Media Abuzz**

In the age of social media, misinformation travels at lightning speed, leaving thousands captivated by false claims. One recent instance revolves around a TikToker’s sensational announcement of capturing a rare megalodon, sparking a frenzy across various social networking sites. However, it is crucial to clarify that this claim is entirely baseless, as no megalodon has been captured by anyone.

The saga began on 17th August 2022, when a TikTok user named @forbiddencombo uploaded a video asserting that the extinct megalodon shark had been apprehended. This provocative claim quickly gained traction, propelling the TikToker to viral fame. Recently, @forbiddencombo resurfaced with another attention-seeking video, this time asserting that NASA was responsible for killing the megalodon in an operation dubbed Big Fish. According to his account, local fisherman Richard Gomez allegedly expressed skepticism towards NASA’s involvement and embarked on his own pursuit, ultimately capturing the colossal 60-foot megalodon discovered by the space agency.

Despite accumulating over eight million views on TikTok, the videos shared by @forbiddencombo are nothing more than a fabrication. They represent a prime example of misinformation pervading social media platforms, leading unsuspecting users astray. It is essential to approach such content with skepticism and verify information from credible sources.

It is worth noting that sharing the video on Google Maps, as suggested by @forbiddencombo, can potentially compromise personal information. This action may inadvertently make private data accessible to others, allowing them to view all uploaded photos and videos. Users are advised to exercise caution and refrain from engaging in such practices to protect their privacy.

To remove the shared video from Google Maps, Android users can simply open the app, navigate to the Contribute option, select See contributions, choose the media they wish to delete, click on Remove in the top-right corner, and then confirm deletion by pressing Delete. For iPhone users, the process involves opening the Google Maps app, selecting See contributions within the Contribute option, choosing the targeted photo or video, tapping More, and finally opting for the Delete function.

Lastly, it is crucial to address the authenticity of the claims made by @forbiddencombo. The megalodon species became extinct nearly four million years ago, ruling out any possibility of capture or sighting. No reputable news outlets have substantiated these outlandish assertions, thereby reaffirming their fictitious nature. It is imperative for individuals to exercise discernment, verify information from credible sources, and refrain from perpetuating or indulging in sensationalized falsehoods.

In an era where online misinformation can easily entice and deceive, it is crucial for social media users to exercise caution, differentiate fact from fiction, and rely on verified sources before accepting extraordinary claims as truth.
