Worker Dies in Forklift Accident at Boston’s Logan International Airport
In a tragic incident at Boston’s Logan International Airport, a worker lost their life on Tuesday following a forklift accident. The victim, identified as a 51-year-old man, was operating a Komatsu forklift in an outdoor loading area near Gate C26. Sadly, while attempting to drive the forklift through the lower bag service entrance, a collision occurred with a beam and resulted in the forklift tipping over. The victim was ejected from the vehicle and the forklift came to rest on top of them, leading to their untimely demise.
Upon hearing the crash, quick-thinking employees from JetBlue and other coworkers rushed to the scene to render assistance. They utilized an aircraft tow bar to lift the forklift sufficiently, allowing them to extract the victim from underneath. State police and emergency responders arrived promptly, performing life-saving measures on the victim before transporting them to the hospital. Tragically, despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
