Three members of a family, including a father and son, were shot dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district over a property dispute. The accused, identified as Rahul Yadav, 28, and his family, fired upon four members of the victim’s household, killing three and leaving a woman critically injured. The incident occurred in Nagla Antram village, within the limits of the Karhal police circle. The motive behind the triple murder was said to be a longstanding dispute over possession of a piece of land. The incident occurred after the accused forcibly constructed a structure on the land, which led to the attack. Vinod Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Mainpuri, has initiated an investigation to nab the accused, who are absconding. A search has been launched to arrest them. The injured woman was shifted to the Saifai Medical College and Hospital in Etawah for treatment.
