A guest at Walt Disney World has suffered a tragic and fatal fall while staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. According to reports by Walt Disney World News Today, the guest fell to their death at Bay Lake Tower, which is part of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Disturbingly, other guests at the Contemporary Resort received phone calls from hotel management instructing them not to go out onto their balconies due to a reported medical emergency. These notifications added to the already somber atmosphere surrounding the incident. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed the death at the Contemporary Resort, stating that deputies responded to a call about an unresponsive man found on the hotel grounds. Unfortunately, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Social media platforms also bore witness to the tragedy, with Reddit posts suggesting that security measures were implemented to prevent guests from accessing certain areas within the resort. On Twitter, an alleged guest claimed that they were unable to use the fifth-floor bridge to reach the Contemporary Resort. Regrettably, this is not the first time that tragedy has struck at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. In 2020, a woman leapt to her death in what was suspected to be a suicide attempt. Responding authorities found the woman unresponsive, and she was later pronounced dead.
