Texas Pastor Phillip Loveday Missing for Five Days: Massive Search Underway
A massive search effort is currently underway for Texas pastor Phillip Loveday, who has been missing for five days. The 47-year-old senior pastor at Faith Christian Center in Freer, Texas, failed to show up for his secular job at Kinder Morgan on August 2, and he hasn’t contacted his family since. Concerned for his well-being, Loveday’s family reported him missing to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Loveday’s wife, Meléa, grew alarmed when she received a phone call informing her that her husband hadn’t shown up for work or church. Initially, the family assumed he had forgotten his phone at home, as he often found ways to reach them during the day. However, this time, he remained uncontactable.

She explained that her father never disappeared without a trace before and would always respond to messages. Purnell believes he might have encountered trouble while working outdoors in the scorching Texas heat.
While Loveday’s congregation at Faith Christian Center eagerly awaits his return, they are holding onto hope and continuing to pray. Loveday was expected to preach at the church last Wednesday, and his absence left his congregation deeply concerned.
Authorities, however, have not found any evidence suggesting foul play in Loveday’s disappearance. Travis Pace, a public information officer with the Corpus Christi Police Department, commented that the vast distance between Loveday’s home and work site makes it challenging to determine what may have occurred.
The search for Phillip Loveday continues with unyielding dedication. As the community rallies together, they remain hopeful for his safe return.
