Tallinn-based 1MT Nation Raises €1 Million to Plant Bamboo and Regenerate African Lands.

Estonian company, 1MT Nation OÜ, has raised €1 million from investors to regenerate African lands by planting bamboo. The company aims to restore one million hectares of land by 2030 using local bamboo species as a mixed crop. Recent planting initiatives in Uganda have already seen 300 hectares of bamboo planted, with plans to plant an additional 3,000 hectares in Uganda and Kenya. Investors include Margus Kohava, an experienced figure in the forest industry. Bamboo is seen as an effective tool in mitigating climate change.
