STARLUX Airlines has expanded its Philippine network with the launch of a new daily Taipei-Clark route. This marks the airline’s third destination in the Philippines, alongside Manila and Cebu. The route will be served by the airline’s Airbus A321neo fleet, offering a total capacity of up to 188 passengers, with eight in business class and 180 in economy.
Clark, a growing tourism and economic hub in the Philippines, has been identified as having tremendous business and tourism potential by STARLUX Airlines. With Clark International Airport expected to have an annual passenger capacity of over 100 million by 2025, the airline sees an opportunity to cater to the increasing demand.
STARLUX Airlines CEO, Glenn Chai, highlighted the significance of the new route, stating that it will increase the airline’s competitiveness in the North American market by significantly reducing travel time for passengers heading to the northern Philippines for family, leisure, or business purposes.
The daily flight schedule for the Taipei-Clark route is as follows:
– JX789: Taipei – Clark (TUE, THU, FRI, SUN, departure at 07:45, arrival at 09:45)
– JX790: Clark – Taipei (departure at 10:45, arrival at 12:45)
– JX791: Taipei – Clark (MON, WED, SAT, departure at 17:25, arrival at 19:25)
– JX792: Clark – Taipei (departure at 20:25, arrival at 22:25)
Notably, the flight timings are suitable for connecting STARLUX passengers coming from Los Angeles, as the airline’s inbound LAX-TPE service arrives in Taipei at 05:40. STARLUX Airlines operates a direct service between Taipei and Los Angeles and will soon add San Francisco to its US network.
