The Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi’s Al Wathba area made history as it rang in the new year of 2024 by breaking four Guinness World Records. The festival, which featured a spectacular fireworks display, a 60-minute drone show, and international performances, created a joyful and cultural atmosphere for visitors from around the world.
The festival attracted a large international crowd, offering a range of events, activities, and performances to celebrate the new year. The highlight of the evening was a 40-minute fireworks display that not only dazzled the audience but also broke three Guinness World Records. Additionally, over 5,000 drones took to the sky, creating breathtaking formations and setting a new record for the largest aerial logo.
To mark the beginning of the new year, the festival showcased a unique laser show, a first in the region for new year celebrations. The captivating show featured vibrant colors and tranquil evening rhythms, captivating festival visitors. Special performances were held at the Emirates Fountain, Glowing Towers Garden, and various pavilions, along with folklore performances from around the world.

The Heritage Village, in particular, celebrated the new year with traditional Razfa and Ayalah dances, while various pavilions showcased special entertainment events.
