Sacai closed out Paris Fashion Week with a bold and innovative display of 70’s punk-inspired fashion. Designer and founder Chitose Abe showcased her skill at blending traditional fabrics into a unified look, with matching jackets, shirts, and pants featuring pinstripe, denim, or floral prints. Classic suiting was also hybridized, with denim blended with suiting fabrics and floral prints spliced with French workwear-inspired moleskin. Abe experimented with pleated silhouettes and redefined familiar styles with inside out designs. The show culminated with a declaration of hope: Know Future. Other highlights of the week included Wooyoungmi’s fusion of funk and sex appeal, Wooyoungmi’s mastery over fabric manipulation, and Saint Sernin’s elegant wardrobe celebrating queer expression. BED j.w. FORD also debuted a collection with elements of both leisurely and urban wear, with loose suits, workman’s pants, and a playful mix of feminine and masculine elements. The fashion week showcased a diverse range of designs and styles while maintaining a commitment to craftsmanship and innovation.
