Qatar to Host Ministerial Conference on Food Security and Sustainable Development in Islamic Countries
Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar is set to organize the Ninth Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Food Security and Agricultural Development (MCFSAD). This significant event will take place on October 1 and 2, 2023, in the capital city of Doha, under the theme Towards Achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in OIC Member States. The primary objective of the conference is to deliberate on the current state of agriculture and food security within OIC Member States, determine key priorities, and devise strategies to overcome the challenges that hinder the enhancement of food security in these countries.
During the conference, particular attention will be given to reviewing the activities of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) as well as other agricultural, rural development, and food security-related institutions within the OIC.
