New K-Pop Idol Goes Viral After Fans Discover He Was A Backup Dancer for BTS

Sung Han-bin, a member of the rookie K-Pop group ZEROBASEONE, is making waves online after fans discovered that he was once a backup dancer for BTS. The 23-year-old idol caught the attention of the K-Pop community when he performed a cover of BTS’ Take Two alongside his bandmate Park Gun-wook on JTBC’s K-909.

A clip of their performance was shared on Twitter by the pop culture account @AboutMusicYT and quickly went viral. Fans praised Han-bin and Gun-wook for their vocal skills, but many also noticed that Han-bin looked familiar. It turns out that before his debut, Han-bin served as a backup dancer for some of the biggest names in the K-Pop industry, including the international superstars BTS and the now-disbanded group Wanna One.

One Twitter user shared an old video of Han-bin dancing behind J-Hope and Suga during BTS’ Dionysus performance at the 2019 Melon Music Awards, commenting, Sung Han-bin, who sang the first line, was a BTS backup dancer back then. He’s now a main dancer of ZEROBASEONE. Another user expressed their surprise, writing, HANBIN WAS A BTS BACKUP DANCER?!

Fans on TikTok also joined in the excitement, as a compilation video of Han-bin’s old stage performances with both BTS and Wanna One gained over 90,000 views and 13,500 likes. The ZEROBASEONE fans, known as ZEROSE, expressed their pride in Han-bin for finally debuting as a K-Pop idol. One user commented, You worked so hard, Han-bin. Now live your dreams, while another said, From backup dancer to main character of the show.

Han-bin’s backup dancer past was confirmed by the idol himself during an appearance on the show KStar Next Door alongside his ZEROBASEONE bandmates. They made their debut on July 10 with their first mini-album, Youth In The Shade. On the show, host Jonathan requested that Han-bin perform an updated version of his BTS dance, which he enthusiastically fulfilled. After his performance, Han-bin exclaimed, BTS, I grew up well.

The journey from backup dancer to K-Pop idol is an inspiring one, and fans are thrilled to see Han-bin’s hard work paying off. With his newfound viral fame, Han-bin is sure to leave a lasting impression on the K-Pop industry.

Overall, it is clear that Sung Han-bin’s discovery as a former backup dancer for BTS has propelled him into the spotlight as a rising K-Pop idol. Fans are excited to see what the future holds for him and ZEROBASEONE, as they continue to make their mark in the industry.
