The presumed assassination of Yevgeny Prigozhin comes just two months after Wagner’s failed mutiny, which dealt a blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s authority. Russian media, citing sources within Wagner, have confirmed Prigozhin’s death, while UK defense sources suggest that Russia’s FSB domestic intelligence agency could be responsible for downing his plane.
