The Titan submarine that recently went missing near the Titanic wreck may have had an interesting choice of controller for its steering wheel – a $30 Logitech F710 wireless PC gamepad from 2010. This is surprising given that the submarine is used for trips costing up to $250,000 to view the Titanic wreck. News of this choice has led to a series of dark memes online and a sudden selling out of the Logitech controller. However, author David Pogue, who went on a Titan expedition last year, notes that his submarine was also lost for a while, but emphasizes that the crew has multiple ways to reach the surface. Search and rescue teams are currently investigating the area where the Titan submarine disappeared.
