Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian Prime Minister, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the age of 86. After being admitted to Milan’s San Raffaele hospital for a scheduled check-up last Friday due to his chronic leukaemia, his condition deteriorated, and several family members visited him in the hospital.
AdnKronos news agency reported that it is not known whether Marta Fascina, Berlusconi’s girlfriend, who is 53 years younger than him, was among the visitors. Berlusconi and Fascina began their relationship in 2020 while the ex-Prime Minister was still married to Francesca Pascale, after images of their romance leaked to the public.
Despite the scandal, Berlusconi and Fascina continued their relationship and built a strong bond, celebrating a party of love on March 19, 2022, instead of getting married, despite Berlusconi’s children’s disapproval.
Fascina is a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and belongs to the Forza Italia party, which Berlusconi created and led from 2013. She was born in Calabria in 1990, grew up in Naples, and studied literature and philosophy at the University of Rome. Before entering politics, she worked as an editor at Il Giornale until 2018, when she joined Berlusconi’s party.
Berlusconi, during his 31 years of ownership of AC Milan, managed to win 29 trophies, including eight Scudetti, one Coppa Italia, seven Italian Supercoppa, five European Cups, five UEFA Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups, and one Club World Cup. The legendary story began with the first league championship in the 1987/88 season and concluded with the 2016 Italian Supercoppa.
