Annual Lemonade Stand Raises $4,000 for Local Organizations
A group of kids in Watervliet, New York, is once again making a big difference in their community. For the past eight years, these young philanthropists have been running a lemonade stand during the summer and donating their proceeds to local organizations. Their efforts have paid off, as they have managed to raise over $4,000 so far.
Crystal Staccio, a proud mother of one of the volunteers, expressed her admiration for the children’s initiative. Despite the busy week the lemonade stand brings, she considers it her favorite time of the summer. She appreciates how they are contributing to the betterment of their community.
This year, the kids have chosen to support two organizations: Operation at Ease and Double H Ranch. Joni Bonilla, the founder of Operation at Ease, appreciates their contribution, emphasizing the essential support they receive from fundraisers and donations. Knowing that young children are devoting their summer vacation to giving back makes it even more meaningful.
For the kids, the lemonade stand is more than just a way to raise money. It provides them with an opportunity to meet new people and understand the impact they can have on the lives of others. Nolan Herb, one of the young volunteers, emphasized the importance of giving back to the community they know and love. Amelia Grant added that it feels good to do something meaningful, especially during the summer when they have the time to help out.
The lemonade stand will be open to the public on July 27th and 28th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is located at 2323 3rd Ave in Watervliet. Visitors can enjoy refreshing lemonade while supporting these amazing kids and the organizations they are raising money for.
In addition to the positive impact on the community, the lemonade stand project highlights the empathy and generosity of these young volunteers. They set an inspiring example for others, showing that age is not a limitation when it comes to making a difference.
This heartwarming initiative demonstrates the power of unity and the positive influence individuals can have on their surroundings. By supporting local organizations through their lemonade stand, these children are making a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Their dedication serves as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of goodwill.
