Israel Increases Military Presence and Declares War on Hamas Following Gaza Attack
Israel has deployed an additional 100,000 reserve troops and declared war on Hamas in response to a surprise attack from the Gaza Strip. A school that was sheltering more than 225 people was also hit, although the source of the fire remains unknown.
