Iranian President Calls for Urgent Action to End Israeli Attacks on Gaza

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has urged immediate efforts to halt the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza. In separate phone calls with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Raisi expressed concern over the escalation of violence and called for the Muslim world’s intervention to stop Israel’s brutal attacks and lift the siege on Gaza.

President Raisi emphasized the need to end Israel’s military operations, which have been supported by Western states, particularly the United States. He blamed the US and its Western allies for the current dire situation in the region.

President Putin, in his conversation with President Raisi, stated that Russia is ready to cooperate with all constructive partners to bring an end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He condemned the large-scale Israeli attacks on Gaza, calling them unjustifiable and insisting they be stopped immediately. President Putin also warned against the disastrous consequences of a ground operation in Gaza and criticized the US’s failed approach to resolving the Palestinian issue.

President Raisi also discussed the situation with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi. Both leaders stressed the urgency of restoring calm and stability in the region and protecting civilians. They emphasized the need for immediate humanitarian assistance in Gaza and addressing the root causes of the crisis, including the lack of political prospects for settling the Palestinian cause.

Furthermore, Tunisian Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Bouderbala called for international intervention to end the Israel-Hamas conflict and lift the siege on Gaza. He urged the international community to condemn the Israeli attacks on civilians and ensure compliance with international resolutions. Tunisia has already sent relief aid to the Palestinians, including medical and health supplies.

Meanwhile, Cyprus has been requested by twenty-six countries to assist in repatriating their nationals from both Israel and Gaza. The Cypriot government has activated a national emergency plan to provide aid and support to the thousands of people expected to arrive in Cyprus. Several countries, including Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Denmark, have already evacuated their citizens with the help of military transport planes.

Overall, the international community is being called upon to take immediate action to halt the violence in Gaza and provide much-needed humanitarian assistance. The situation remains critical, with civilian casualties increasing, and there is a growing concern of the conflict expanding into a regional war. The hope is for a swift resolution that offers a fair and lasting solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel.
