Grundy Center Seniors Complete Perfect 28-0 Home Record with Dominant Win over Dike-New Hartford
In a remarkable display of talent and determination, the Grundy Center Spartans football team completed a perfect 28-0 home record over the span of four years. The 11 Grundy Center seniors played their final home game at Spartan Stadium, and they made sure it was a memorable one with a dominant 40-0 victory over Dike-New Hartford.
The Spartans’ seniors, including offensive and defensive lineman Trent Cakerice and quarterback Colin Gordon, spoke of the happiness and sense of accomplishment that this win brought them. They credited the hard work and discipline of not only their own class but also the classes that came before them. It was a testament to the program’s strength and the dedication of everyone involved.
According to head coach Travis Zajac, this achievement required an unbelievable amount of sacrifice from the players, parents, and all those associated with the Grundy Center football program. He expressed his gratitude for being a part of such a special team.
