Seventeen-year-old Sherman Vannoy was riding his bicycle near the school’s entrance when he was struck and killed by the school bus. School district officials and authorities have confirmed the details of the incident, creating a sense of urgency to address the ongoing investigation.
Despite the driver’s troubled history, she has not been named and is not currently facing charges. It has been disclosed, however, that she has been employed by the district since November 2021. Following the previous accidents, the driver faced the district’s safe driving committee and received a two-day suspension.
