Popular celebrity Pooja Bhatt is causing a stir on Bigg Boss OTT season 2 after repeatedly mentioning her father’s legacy in conversations with other contestants. A section of the audience has expressed their disdain on social media, asking Bhatt to stop throwing around the statement Main Mahesh Bhatt ki beti hun (I am Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter).
Bhatt, who has a close relationship with her father, a celebrated director in the Hindi film industry, has used her lineage as a shield against other contestants, warning them not to mess with her because of who her father is. However, viewers have grown tired of her repetitive bragging and taken to Twitter to voice their opinions.
One user pointed out how Bhatt’s mention of her father’s name during a recent nomination task triggered her and led her to raise her voice. Another user joked about their six-year-old son not even boasting about being related to actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, mocking Bhatt for still relying on her father’s name at 51 years old.
In another incident that caused controversy, Bhatt and another contestant, Aaliya, nominated each other and provided detailed explanations. Bhatt accused Aaliya of playing the victim card due to her broken marriage with Siddiqui. Aaliya, on the other hand, nominated Bhatt and accused her of encouraging negativity in the house and trying to control everything.
While Bhatt’s lineage has earned her a reputation in the industry, it seems to be wearing thin on viewers who are growing tired of hearing the same bragging. As the Bigg Boss OTT season 2 continues, it remains to be seen whether Bhatt will continue to lean on her father’s name or if she will shift her focus to building alliances with other contestants.
