The Damoh Municipal Council in Madhya Pradesh has issued a notice to the manager of Ganga Jamna School, Rashke Jahan, regarding the construction of a building without prior permission. The school manager has been requested to submit the necessary documents within three days, failing which the council will take action to remove the construction. The notice also stated that any valid building permission should be submitted within the prescribed period; otherwise, the construction will be considered illegal and will be subject to demolition.
The municipal council’s surveyor branch carried out an inspection and found that the building construction work was being done without approval, which is a crime under Section 187 of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Act of 1961. If the proper process is not followed within the stipulated period, the building will be removed, changed, or demolished, and the school manager will have to pay the expenses and penalty under the Municipal Act, 1961.
The Ganga Jamna School had been in the news recently when posters of Hindu girls wearing hijabs went viral on social media. The controversy led to a police case against the school administration under sections 295, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and the Juvenile Justice Act. The police have arrested three individuals, including the school principal, in connection with the case.
This is an urgent matter, and the school manager should act promptly to submit the necessary documents for the construction. It is crucial to follow all the legalities before undertaking any construction work to avoid unnecessary trouble.
