The Clinton Fall Festival is set to kick off this weekend, offering a wide range of entertainment and activities for attendees of all ages. From carnival rides and craft vendors to live music and a car show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s event.

Running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, September 22nd and 23rd, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 24th, the festival is expected to draw in over 20,000 people, making it a significant boost for local businesses.

One of the main attractions of the festival is the abundance of arts and craft vendors, with 225 vendors showcasing their unique creations. In addition, there will be 75 merchant vendors, 30 food booths, and various nonprofit booths, offering a diverse selection of products and services.

Live music performances will take place on the middle school stage throughout the festival. Highlights include performances by Wilson & Brenner Co., Mike Finch and the Flashbacks, JTE Acoustic Band, Earth Angels, 42 North, and The One Hit Wonders. These talented bands are sure to provide a lively atmosphere for festival-goers.

Children will have a blast at the kids zone, where they can enjoy face-painting, inflatable attractions, and an animal and petting farm. Additionally, there will be a mini pedal tractor pull at Tate Park, as well as entertaining performances by Rosco the Clown at the Community Center.

New attractions have been added to this year’s festival, including hayrides at Tate Park and a young artist and entrepreneur tent on Burton Street. The tent will feature artwork and crafts created by talented students who will also have the opportunity to sell their work. On Burton Street, festival attendees can also participate in free pumpkin painting.

For those looking for a bit of friendly competition, there will be a dunk tank near the middle school where attendees can try to dunk their favorite principals, teachers, and coaches. The proceeds from the dunk tank will benefit the Clinton Wrestling Club.

The festival’s grand parade is set to start at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, following a route that stretches from Kehoe Road to Currier Street and then west along U.S. 12.

Visitors can explore the silent auction at the middle school and browse the Classic Car and Truck show, which will take place on Tecumseh Road. The Clinton Fire Department will also be offering tours on Saturday and Sunday.

Carnival rides will be available at Tate Park throughout the festival, with all-day wristbands priced at $25. There will also be various artisan and nonprofit booths, showcasing talents such as basket making, stained glass, pottery, woodworking, and chair caning.

Attendees can catch sports coverage on a big screen TV located under a tent at the old basketball court on East Franklin Street, situated behind the food vendors.

History enthusiasts can visit the exhibition presented by the Historical Society of Clinton at the Smith-Kimball Community Center, which will focus on village schools and schools around Clinton. The exhibition will include a variety of historical items and photographs, offering a glimpse into the town’s educational history.

The Clinton Fall Festival offers a mix of entertainment, shopping, and community engagement, making it a must-visit event for both residents and visitors. With its diverse range of activities and attractions, this festival promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend.
