The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly filed a charge sheet against Era Housing and Developers and its authorised representative Hem Singh Bharana. In addition, 13 other entities, including companies and individuals, have also been accused in the Rs 331-crore loan fraud case against the builder in the Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI). After taking cognisance of the CBI’s charge sheet, a special court has directed all accused to appear before it on August 14 to initiate the trial.
According to the allegations, Era Housing and its directors committed the fraud against IFCI, which led them to suffer massive financial losses. In response to the allegations, Era Housing has denied any wrongdoing.
Despite the company’s denial, it has been summoned before the special court along with the other accused entities to start the trial. This is a significant step in the legal process, as it means that the accused will now have the opportunity to present their case in court.
