Canadians vacationing in Israel are currently facing unprecedented challenges as they find themselves stranded amidst the ongoing Hamas attacks. One such family, Ruslam Benco, his wife, and their two young children, are desperately trying to find a way back to Canada. Benco shared his concerns with Global News, stating that the situation is unlike anything they have ever experienced. With the presence of small children, their anxiety is even more heightened. They had initially traveled to Israel in late September to visit Benco’s wife’s family. Unfortunately, their friends, who are currently in the central part of the country, have been directly affected by the bombings. The continuously escalating violence has left the family feeling unsafe. Benco emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, It’s insane… to put it very, very mildly. I’ll put it this way: Leave. But, the country’s at war.
