Blessed Drive-Thru Coffee in Spokane Valley Gives Back to Community, Provides Food, Clothes, and Christmas Presents
Pulling up to the Blessed Drive-Thru Coffee window in Spokane Valley is not just about grabbing a quick cup of coffee; it’s about making a difference in the community. Founded by Jessica Kovac, this unique coffee shop aims to give back to the local community by providing food, clothes, and even Christmas presents to those in need.
Kovac’s passion for helping the homeless and struggling people in the community began 16 years ago when she started her non-profit organization, now known as Blessings and Beyond. The mission of her organization is to go beyond the basic needs of food and shelter and provide special and unique assistance to those in need, such as helping families who can’t afford Christmas presents or providing assistance with reliable transportation.
In May of 2023, Blessed Drive-Thru Coffee moved to its current location in Spokane Valley. Inside the building, Kovac and her team utilize the kitchen to prepare an impressive 1,200 meals each day for individuals staying at the Trent Shelter. Their goal is to reach everyone in need, including youth, families, survivors, and individuals experiencing hardships.
The Blessed coffee drive-thru is set to have a soft opening in the coming weeks, with a grand opening planned for November 24, coinciding with the Friday after Thanksgiving. During the grand opening event, guests will have the opportunity to sample the custom ‘Blessings’ 4 Seasons Coffee Roasters blend, as well as enjoy delicious pastries and sandwiches.
Kovac’s ultimate hope is that everyone who visits Blessed Drive-Thru Coffee will feel blessed themselves and be aware of the impact their visit has on someone else’s life. She envisions a place where people know what Blessed stands for and leave feeling a sense of blessings.
