Beloved Cat-Loving Mother, Darlene Bain, Remembered for Selfless Legacy
McDonald, USA – The community of McDonald is mourning the loss of a beloved resident, Darlene Bain, who passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023. Darlene, a devoted cat lover and selfless mother, leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that touched the hearts of those around her.
Darlene, born on June 18, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, was the daughter of the late J.B. and Mary Jewell McDowell. Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple things and cherished her two furry companions, Rollie and Salem. Playing games on her phone brought her solace, as she constantly sought new challenges and adventures.
In her earlier years, Darlene served as a dispatcher for the Meigs County Sheriff’s Department, displaying her commitment to serving the community. Later in life, she dedicated many years of service to Shaw Industries. However, above all her achievements, the role of a mother was Darlene’s most cherished and selfless endeavor. She always prioritized the needs of her family and had an unshakeable bond with them.
Tragically, Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Ricky Bain. Their reunion in heaven provides solace to those left behind, knowing they are together once more. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Shanna Dee dee Leight and Thomas Ricky Tom Bain Jr. The siblings Linda Hickman (Walter) and Ronald Yogi McDowell (Barbara) will also forever hold their sister’s memory dear. Additionally, her cherished granddaughters, Katie and Temprence, will carry on her legacy.
Darlene’s special friends, Kathy Green and Sheila Thomas, also mourn her loss. They were an integral part of her support system and companionship throughout the years.
The family of Darlene Bain welcomes relatives and friends to honor her life and bid her farewell. Visitation will be held at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service in Cleveland on Tuesday, Sept. 19, starting at noon. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m., presided over by Pastor Timothy Gann. The service will be held at the same venue. Following the service, a Graveside Service will be conducted at McMinn Memory Gardens at 3:30 p.m.
Darlene’s selflessness and the impact she had on the lives of those around her will be eternally remembered. Her gentle soul will rest in eternal peace, and her memories will continue to bring solace and comfort to all who had the fortune of knowing her.
