Beloved Brother Thomas White Passes Peacefully After Short Illness

Thomas White, a beloved brother, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. He was formerly from Portnason, Ballyshannon. Thomas was a much-loved brother to Ann and George, and a beloved brother-in-law to Claire. He will be deeply missed by his loving nieces, Julie Ann, Kathryn, Ross, and Gemma, as well as his extended family and friends.

Thomas will be remembered for his kind actions, generous nature, and active mind. He always aimed to please and never intended to offend. He was a loving brother and a faithful friend. Thomas’ presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A private cremation service will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Croí Heart & Stroke Charity, North West Hospice, Peter McVerry Trust, or Médecins Sans Frontières. These donations can be made online or through Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors in Ballyshannon.

A ‘Celebration of Life Ceremony’ will also take place on Tuesday, November 21 at 1pm in Dorrian’s Imperial Hotel, Ballyshannon, followed by interment in St. Anne’s Churchyard.

– Rowland Manthorpe of Teelin, Carrick, peacefully passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. A private cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan on Thursday, November 16.
– Martin Travers from Finadoose, Donegal P.O., Donegal Town, peacefully passed away at Donegal Community Hospital. He was a loving husband to Rosie and a devoted father to Enda, Shane, Cahill, Aoife, and Grainne. Martin will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. His funeral will take place on Friday, November 17 at 11am in St. Agatha’s Church, Clar, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
– Joe Doherty (Owens) of Tullydish, Buncrana, passed away peacefully. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose. Joe will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his children Shaun, Ann, Patrick, Rosemary, and Bredge, as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, starting at his daughter’s residence at Aghilly, Buncrana, and continuing to St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill, for burial in the adjoining cemetery.
– Harry Mc Mahon of Gortmacall, Milford, suddenly passed away at his home. He was a dear brother to Jean Johnston and the late Rev. Stewart, and a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Harry’s remains will repose at Eternal Light Chapel of Rest in Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny. A private burial will take place on Thursday morning, November 16. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on the same day at 2pm in Milford Presbyterian Church.
– Hugh Mc Gee, also known as Hughie Mhaireáde, of Fanaboy, Gortahork, passed away peacefully at home. He was preceded in death by his mother Grace, father Johnny, brothers John and Barney, and sisters Margaret and Sarah. Hugh will be deeply missed by his wife Margaret, daughter Patricia, sons John, Paul, Brendan, and Hughie, as well as his siblings, in-laws, grandchildren, and extended family. His remains will repose at his home, and the funeral will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 11am in Teach Pobail Chríost Rí, Gortahork, with interment in the adjacent cemetery.
– Jonathan Murray of Lower Mount Marian, Milford, passed away. He is survived by his parents Martin and Martina, sisters Aisling, Hollie, and Megan, and his grandmother Mary Connor, among other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16 at 11am in St. Peter’s Church, Milford, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
– Maeve Faulkner of Tinnycahill, Donegal Town, peacefully passed away at home. She was predeceased by her husband Willie. Maeve will be dearly missed by her daughters Helen and Barbra, sons Brendan and Andrew, her grandchildren, and her extended family. Her remains will repose at her residence before the funeral mass in St. Agatha’s Church, Clar, and burial in the adjoining graveyard.
– James Browne of Kildare and Drumkeen passed away surrounded by his family in Moyglare Nursing Home, Maynooth. He was the beloved husband of the late Teresa and the brother of the late Patrick and Betty. James will be deeply missed by his children Neil, Ann Marie, Claire, and Kevin, as well as his grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral arrangements include a Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge, followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge.

These recent passings have left a void in the hearts of their loved ones, who will cherish their memories forever. May they rest in peace.
