Australian women’s cricket team captain Meg Lanning has announced her retirement from international cricket at the age of 31, after a remarkable career spanning nearly 13 years. Despite her retirement from international duty, Lanning will continue playing in domestic competitions, including the Women’s Big Bash League and the Women’s National Cricket League.

Lanning leaves an indelible mark on the sport, as no captain in the history of cricket has lifted more World Cup trophies than she has.
