Dubai Mounted Police Station Sets New Record with 100% Participation Rate in 106 Events
Dubai Mounted Police Station has achieved a remarkable milestone by achieving a 100% participation rate in 106 festivals and community events in the first half of this year. The station, known for its crucial role in bolstering the safety and security of the community, has become an integral part of the patrol system of Dubai Police.
Under the leadership of Expert Major General Muhammad Issa Al Adhb, Director of Dubai Mounted Police Station, the mounted police have played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and peace of community members. With 790 security patrols deployed during the first half of this year, the station has made significant progress in crime prevention by apprehending suspects and wanted individuals.
One of the key advantages of the mounted police patrols is their ability to navigate narrow districts that police vehicles cannot reach. This enhances the overall sense of safety and security in diverse areas including industrial, commercial, and tourist zones. Moreover, the Mounted Police Station also carries out other important tasks such as inspecting suspicious individuals and abandoned vehicles, maintaining security at sports facilities, and organizing therapeutic horse riding programs.
During the first half of this year, the mounted patrols led to the seizure of 574 wanted vehicles, the apprehension of six wanted individuals, and the issuance of 462 traffic fines. Additionally, these patrols played a pivotal role in securing 16 matches and provided vital security-related information to the General Department of Criminal Investigation and police stations on 71 occasions.
The achievements of the Mounted Police Station extend beyond security measures. The Events Division actively participated in and organized 106 events during the first half of the year, both internally and externally. They also provided training for knights participating in races and played a significant role in organizing 17 races. Furthermore, the Therapeutic Training Division collaborated with the Ministry of Community Development and the Community Development Authority to provide training for people of determination.
The dedication of the Dubai Mounted Police Station is evident in their achievements, including first place in the International Tent Pegging Championship. They have also received an outstanding satisfaction rate from the families of children participating in the People of Determination program. In addition to their successful training sessions and community events, the Mounted Police Station ensures the well-being of their 100 qualified horses through veterinary care and a comprehensive health regimen.
