Tragic House Fire Claims Life of 88-Year-Old Woman Due to Faulty Smoke Detectors

Millersville firefighters arrived at the scene within just seven minutes of receiving the distress call, but they were met with heavy smoke and fire coming out of the rear window of the house.

Local authorities provide them for free and even offer assistance with installation. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it has been ruled accidental. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the insurance company have been involved in the investigation as well.
