New Delhi: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visits to the US and Egypt were a significant milestone in India’s diplomacy. He further added that the grand welcome received by PM Modi in these countries was recognition of his efforts to take India to a greater height in geopolitics.
Vaishnaw mentioned that the US, an economic superpower and with a distinct identity in the world order, accepted India as an equal partner. The two nations entered into agreements under which they will work closely together. Vaishnaw added that this was a major achievement.
PM Modi’s visit to the US and Egypt have solidified India’s stance in global politics. He received recognition and appreciation for India’s role in the international community. He presented the country’s stance on terrorism, climate change, and global cooperation toward combatting the pandemic.

In Egypt, PM Modi met with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues, including establishing an Indo-Pacific vision for the region. The two nations also signed several agreements focused on new technologies, agriculture, and cybersecurity.
