Retired FBI Directors Warn of Imminent Terrorist Threat from Invasion of Military-Age Men at U.S. Border, US

Ten retired FBI directors and experts in counter intelligence have penned a letter to congressional leaders, warning that President Joe Biden’s border policies have created a perilous situation for America. They argue that these policies have facilitated a soft invasion into the United States, with military-age men from terror-linked regions, China, and Russia entering the country. The experts believe that a terrorist attack is likely to occur, but can still be prevented.

In their letter, the retired FBI officials express concern about the presence of thousands of young single adult males from hostile nations and regions whose backgrounds and intentions are unknown. They highlight the fact that these individuals are entering the country through an unprotected border, with some being encountered by border officials and then possibly released into the country. The officials also mention the high number of gotaways, referring to individuals who have entered and evaded capture.

According to the US Department of Defense, an Army company consists of 100 soldiers, a battalion comprises 1,000 soldiers, a brigade consists of 5,000 soldiers, a division includes 15,000 soldiers, and a corps encompasses 45,000 soldiers. In light of this, the retired FBI officials argue that the presence of such a large number of uninvited foreign actors represents a significant national security threat.

They call on Congress to take immediate action to secure the border and identify and remove those who have entered the country illegally. The letter was written on January 17, before Texas Governor Greg Abbott invoked the invasion clause of the US Constitution to assert Texas’s right to defend itself. It was also written ahead of the House preparing to impeach US Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the long-standing border crisis.

The retired FBI officials who wrote the letter have served under multiple US presidents and FBI directors. Their collective experience and expertise add weight to their concerns and call for action.

US Senator Ron Johnson shared a copy of the letter, emphasizing the significant threat posed by the president’s open border policy. The letter was addressed to Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and the chairs of the intelligence and homeland security committees in both the House and Senate.

In conclusion, the retired FBI directors and counterintelligence experts are warning that the current border policies have created a perilous situation for America. They argue that an invasion of the homeland is currently unfolding, with military-age men from hostile nations and regions entering the country. They urge Congress to secure the border and remove those who have entered illegally to prevent a potential terrorist attack.
