Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star. Lieutenant Chris Olivarez confirmed that the co-pilot suffered a minor hand injury, and the helicopter sustained significant damage. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were notified of the crash. The cause of the power loss is currently under investigation. The crash site is situated in a rural area of Kinney County, approximately 15 miles northeast of the Texas-Mexico border and 120 miles southwest of San Antonio.
