More than a dozen fire companies battled a destructive fire at The Roadster Factory on Killen Road in Indiana County early on Christmas morning. The commercial structure was described as a total loss by officials, with crews still at the scene nearly 12 hours later. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state police fire marshal. The 48,000-square-foot facility, specializing in classic British sports cars, was engulfed in flames, leaving only a gutted brick structure. Firefighters managed to salvage a few antique cars from the showroom, but the full extent of the damage is unknown. Over 100 firefighters from various departments were called to the scene, facing issues such as leaking hoses and dwindling resources. Despite these challenges, only minor injuries have been reported. Fire Chief Tom Fry expressed gratitude for the responders who answered the call on Christmas day.
