Subway fulfills promise, sponsors couple’s viral tweet-inspired date

Subway India has kept its promise of sponsoring a date for a couple after a post on Twitter went viral. The fast-food franchise made the offer after a Twitter post by a woman whose boyfriend took her on a date after apologizing by buying her a Subway sandwich.

The couple’s post received over 8 lakh (800,000) views and 7,000 likes, prompting Subway to announce it would sponsor the couple’s next date if the post received 1,000 likes. After the target was reached, Subway India sponsored the couple’s date, which generated over 6 lakh (600,000) views and 6,000 likes.
