FOX Partners with U.S.VETS to End Veteran Homelessness: Make Camo Your Cause Campaign
FOX Corporation has announced its continued partnership with U.S. VETS for the third consecutive year to support the Make Camo Your Cause campaign. The campaign aims to bring attention to the issue of veteran homelessness and help end it. Throughout Veterans Day on November 11th, many FOX anchors and reporters will be wearing camo attire to demonstrate their appreciation for those who have served in the military.
The Make Camo Your Cause campaign is not limited to FOX employees. Viewers can also show their support by purchasing apparel from the U.S.VETS online shop and wearing camo on Veterans Day. To further contribute, supporters are encouraged to post on social media using the hashtag #HONORUSVETS. Donations and additional information about U.S.VETS’ efforts to combat veteran homelessness can be found on their website.
Established in 1993, U.S.VETS is the largest nonprofit organization actively addressing the issue of veteran homelessness in the United States. By offering a comprehensive approach that includes housing, counseling, career development, and supportive services, U.S.VETS empowers veterans to rebuild their lives and thrive. The organization operates 32 sites across 11 regional locations, providing temporary and permanent housing solutions as well as various services to veterans and their families nationwide.
Steve Peck, the CEO and president of U.S.VETS, shared his inspiration for founding the organization. As a Vietnam veteran, he personally experienced the challenges faced by soldiers upon returning home from duty. Peck expressed his compassion for veterans struggling to reintegrate into society and emphasized U.S.VETS’ commitment to providing multiple chances for these individuals to find their way.
The Make Camo Your Cause campaign offers a range of camouflage products, including hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, tumblers, lapel pins, and ties. Each purchase supports U.S.VETS’ mission and contributes to the successful transition of military veterans and their families through housing, counseling, career development, and comprehensive support. Notably, a portion of the proceeds from FOX-branded Make Camo Your Cause merchandise goes directly to U.S.VETS.
