Noida Police Inspector Suspended for Viral Song in Uniform, Departmental Inquiry Ordered
A police inspector in Noida has been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been ordered after a song featuring him in uniform went viral on the internet. The inspector, Ajay Singh Chahar, who was in charge of the Noida Kotwali Sector-126, appeared in a song titled ‘Bhaichara Tagada System Aar Paar Ka’ that was made on a specific caste.
The video was reportedly shot inside the police station without proper permission from officials. Once it was released, the song quickly gained traction on social media, leading to outrage and questions about the officer’s conduct. Chahar can be seen in the video wearing his police uniform.
Taking swift action, Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh immediately placed Chahar on the line and also ordered a departmental inquiry into the matter. The commissioner deemed Chahar’s actions as a breach of discipline for creating a video while on duty without proper authorization.
This is not the first incident of a police officer creating a video in uniform. Just a day prior, a police constable named Aarti Solanki from Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh, was suspended after a reel of her in uniform went viral on social media. The Kasganj Superintendent of Police took notice of the video, titled ‘Teri Meri Dosti Pyar Mein Badal Gayi,’ and decided to suspend Solanki. Additionally, departmental proceedings have been initiated.
These incidents highlight the importance of maintaining professionalism and adhering to the rules and regulations while in uniform. The actions of these officers have raised questions about the behavior and conduct of law enforcement personnel. While social media has given individuals a platform to express themselves, it is crucial for police officers to exercise caution and refrain from engaging in activities that may tarnish the image of the force.
The departmental inquiries in both these cases will establish if any further action is necessary. As public servants, police officers have a responsibility to uphold the law and serve as role models for society. Any inappropriate behavior or actions that violate the code of conduct must be dealt with promptly and appropriately.
It remains to be seen how these incidents will impact the reputation of the police force and the public’s trust in law enforcement. Maintaining discipline and professionalism should always be the priority for those entrusted with ensuring the safety and security of the community.
