Arab Nations Condemn Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza’s Jabalia Camp, Urging Urgent Cease-Fire

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, and Yemen have swiftly denounced the Israeli airstrikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. The attacks have resulted in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of Palestinians. In a statement, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the inhumane targeting by the Israeli occupation forces and emphasized the urgent need to prevent bloodshed, protect civilians, and halt military operations. The United Arab Emirates echoed similar sentiments, stressing that the relentless bombings could have irreparable consequences for the region and called for an immediate cease-fire.

Qatar has also expressed its condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s bombing of the Jabalia camp, describing it as a merciless massacre against the defenseless Palestinian people. The country has urged the international community to swiftly intervene and put an end to the killing and destruction. Similarly, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry denounced Israel’s targeting of a residential area in Jabalia camp as a blatant violation of international law that will only exacerbate the situation. Egypt called for condemnation of the attack and urged the international community to protect Palestinian civilians.

Jordan joined in condemning Israel’s aggression, holding the occupying power accountable for this dangerous development. The country called on the international community to deter Israel from committing further crimes against civilians and cease its senseless war on the Gaza Strip. Yemen’s Foreign Ministry also decried the targeting of the Jabalia camp, adding that it was yet another violation on a long list of Israeli transgressions against the Palestinians. Yemen called on the international community to take immediate action to halt these crimes.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli massacres and war crimes in the strongest terms, with specific reference to the recent Jabalia camp massacre. The OIC called for urgent intervention by the international community to halt this aggression. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, reiterated the demand for an immediate cessation of military operations in Gaza and condemned Israel’s bombing of the Jabalia camp.

The Arab world’s denouncement of the Israeli airstrikes underscores the urgent need for a cease-fire to prevent further bloodshed and to protect innocent civilians. The international community is being called upon to take swift action and assume its responsibility in order to stop the escalating violence and devastation in Gaza. As tensions continue to rise, a collective effort is necessary to bring about peace and stability in the region.
