Temperatures are set to take a plunge in Alabama as a Halloween cold front approaches the state. The current warm and dry conditions will persist on Sunday and Monday before the front sweeps through. As the cold front moves across the region, it will bring a few showers, increase wind speeds, and significantly drop temperatures.

Sunday will see warm afternoons with highs ranging from the middle to upper 80s. The day will be a mix of sun and clouds, with light winds around 5 mph. Sunday night will be mostly clear, with lows around 60 degrees.

On Monday, the warm conditions will continue, with highs in the lower to middle 80s under a partly to mostly sunny sky. Clouds will remain through Monday night, with overnight lows in the 50s.

All eyes are on Halloween as the cold front sweeps across Alabama. Increasing clouds are expected throughout the day, along with a possible shower or two as the front moves through the region. However, the main story will be the significant drop in temperatures during the day on Tuesday. The cold air rushing in from the northwest will bring a wide temperature spread across the state.

Winds will also increase as the front passes, becoming blustery and aiding in the temperature drop expected by Tuesday night. In fact, low temperatures on Tuesday into Wednesday will be in the 30s and 40s, accompanied by gusty winds.

As November arrives on Wednesday, the chill in the air will be felt even more. Highs will struggle to reach the 50s and 60s midweek, with noticeable winds during the day. However, the winds will become light to calm in the evening and night.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be cold, with temperatures dipping into the 30s under a clear sky and light winds. There is also a possibility of frost on Thursday morning in some areas.

Both Thursday and Friday will feature wall-to-wall sunshine, with afternoon highs in the 60s and overnight lows remaining in the 30s and 40s. Frost may be possible once again on Friday morning in certain locations.

Moving into the first weekend of November, temperatures will start to rise again. Highs will reach near 70 degrees under a mainly sunny sky.

With daylight saving time ending on Sunday, November 5th, it is important to remember to set clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on that day. This early reminder aims to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.
