The 2023 Kawasaki ZX-25R is set to receive new color options in Indonesia, according to a report from paultan.org. While Malaysian fans eagerly await its release in their country, their Indonesian neighbors are already getting their hands on the updated model.
The new color schemes for the ZX-25R ABS SE include Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Spark Blue and Candy Persimmon Red. In contrast, the base model ZX-25R in Indonesia continues to be available in Basic Black, while the ZX-25RR variant comes in Lime Green.
Mechanically, there are no changes to the ZX-25R compared to the model released in October. However, one notable update is the inclusion of a full-color TFT-LCD instrument panel with a new Circuit Mode. Additionally, connectivity to the rider’s smartphone is now a standard feature, using the Kawasaki Rideology app.
Under the hood, the ZX-25R is equipped with a 249.8 cc inline four-cylinder engine, liquid-cooled and mated to a six-speed gearbox. It boasts a claimed power output of 51 PS at 15,500 rpm and a peak torque of 22.9 Nm at 14,500 rpm.
The ZX-25R is equipped with a range of electronic riding aids, including two ride modes (Full and Low), Kawasaki traction control, and electronic throttle valves. Despite being a 250 cc sports bike, it comes with advanced features like two-channel ABS, an up-and-down quickshifter, and adjustable front and rear suspension.
The braking system consists of 310 mm diameter floating discs with four-piston monobloc calipers at the front and a 220 mm disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. With an overall weight of 182 kg, the ZX-25R can store up to 15 liters of fuel in its tank.
While the ZX-25R has created a buzz among motorcycle enthusiasts, its release in Malaysia has been delayed. Previously scheduled for a mid-year debut, there has been no official announcement regarding its availability. However, Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan confirmed last year that the latest version of the ZX-25R with a TFT-LCD display would be sold in Malaysia under local assembly.
In conclusion, the 2023 Kawasaki ZX-25R is getting new color options in Indonesia, including Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Spark Blue and Candy Persimmon Red for the ZX-25R ABS SE. Meanwhile, the base model ZX-25R is available in Basic Black, and the ZX-25RR variant comes in Lime Green. The motorcycle retains its powerful engine, advanced features, and electronic riding aids. Although Malaysian fans are patiently awaiting its release, the exact date remains uncertain.
