Fifteen pensioners on an outing to a casino were among the casualties of an accident in rural Canada on Thursday. The accident took place at a highway intersection near the town of Carberry in southwestern Manitoba, around 105 miles away from Winnipeg. A community bus and a truck collided at the intersection, resulting in one of the country’s deadliest road crashes.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his sadness over the incredibly tragic news via his Twitter account. All passengers onboard the community bus, a group of elderly residents on a casino outing, died in the incident.
Further updates are yet to be provided. However, the accident serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing road safety. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims during this difficult time.
