YouTuber Elvish Yadav has denied allegations of involvement in the supply of snake venom at a rave party in Noida. The former Union Minister and Chairperson of People for Animals, Maneka Gandhi, has demanded strict action against the accused in the case.
People for Animals, the complainant in the case, filed an FIR against Elvish Yadav and five others for allegedly supplying snake venom to a rave party at a banquet hall in Noida. Five of the accused have been arrested by the UP Police.
According to Maneka Gandhi, catching and supplying snake venom is a wildlife crime that should be punished by 7 years in jail. Cobras rely on venom for food digestion, and without it, they cannot survive. Since very few Cobras and Pythons are left in the country, the government has classified them under Schedule 1. Maneka Gandhi also highlighted the dangers of consuming snake venom, which can lead to organ failure.
The Forest Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Arun Kumar Saxena, stated that legal action would be taken against anyone found guilty, regardless of whether they are celebrities or common individuals. He emphasized that the law is the same for everyone.
In a joint operation by People for Animals, the Forest Department, and the Police, five people were arrested for allegedly supplying snake venom at rave parties. Nine snakes were recovered during the operation. The accused have been arrested under the Wildlife Protection Act, which carries a punishment ranging from 2 to 7 years.
The Uttar Pradesh forest department and Noida police conducted a raid at Sector 51 Saffron Villa in Noida, where the gang allegedly supplied snake venom at a rave party. The FIR filed by People for Animals states that Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber, provided snake venom and live snakes for illegal shoots and parties. The police arrested the organizers at the banquet hall.
Elvish Yadav, in a video posted on Instagram, denied any involvement in the supply of snake venom at the rave party. He called the allegations against him fake and without truth. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the UP Police and requested the government and the chief minister to take action if there is even a slight involvement on his part.
