YouTuber Arrested for Making Offensive Statements at Public Event

A popular YouTuber from Kerala has been booked for causing a traffic jam and making objectionable remarks during a public event. The accused, who goes by the name Thoppi on social media, is known for his a large following on YouTube, particularly among children. The incident occurred in the northern district of Malappuram, where Thoppi was attending the inauguration of a local shop. According to a complaint filed by a public activist, Thoppi caused a traffic congestion for hours on a busy road in Valanchery, which attracted a large number of people, especially youths and teenagers. Police have registered a case against Thoppi under various sections of the IPC and have asked him to present himself for questioning. Thoppi, whose real name is Nihad, is a native of Kannur district. The police officer said that Thoppi used obscene words while singing songs and making objectionable remarks during the event. The incident has raised concerns about the impact of social media influencers on the youth and their potential role in law and order situations.
