Youngstown Woman C’Asia Charie DuBose Remembered for Infectious Smile and Fashion Sense

Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown community is mourning the loss of C’Asia Charie DuBose, a vibrant 24-year-old woman known for her infectious smile and impeccable fashion sense. C’Asia, lovingly called Dooter by her mother, passed away on August 27, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Born on January 22, 1999, to Charie Eiland and Ceyanie DuBose, C’Asia brought joy and happiness to everyone she encountered. She graduated from Boardman High School and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center in 2017. Alongside her academic achievements, C’Asia was an avid reader, writer, and music enthusiast. She loved to travel, shop, and cherished moments spent with her family.

C’Asia was known for her bright personality and the way she effortlessly brightened any room she entered. Her contagious smile, accompanied by her witty jokes and laughter, filled spaces with warmth and joy. A natural-born leader, she had a knack for getting things done and seizing opportunities to make money. C’Asia was passionate about fashion and had a keen eye for style. Her collection of sneakers became legendary, and she always presented herself at her best.

Devoted to her faith, C’Asia dedicated her life to the Lord. In the end, her purpose centered around God and her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Charie Eiland (Lewis) and Ceyanie (Sharlisa) DuBose; her two children, Qua’dir and D’Auri; her goddaughter, Heaven Thorton; her grandparents, Clement and Reverend Judy Eiland; and her siblings, Tymere DuBose, Jazmine DuBose, Jalen McKinney, Jaleel Wilkins, Nyamekye Wehyby, Dream DuBose, Miracle Minor, Assyria Robinson, and Arcaizah (Kadale) Young. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends.

C’Asia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearline Denise DuBose and Wayne Derek Sutton; her uncle, Reverend Nathaniel DuBose; her godmother, Kyona Hooker; her nephew, Xavier Beck; and her cousins, Cornell Kennedy Jr. and Damon Lamont Irby Jr.

A homegoing service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Christ Centered Church, located at 3300 Hudson Ave., Youngstown, OH 44511. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation period from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Floral arrangements can be sent to Christ Centered Church by 8 a.m. on Friday.

The Youngstown community mourns the loss of C’Asia Charie DuBose, remembering her infectious smile, fashion sense, and the love she shared with all those around her. Her spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
