As lakhs of devotees thronged the Ram temple in Ayodhya for ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla a day after the consecration ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took control of the situation at ground zero and used the public address system to urge devotees to keep patience and cooperate with the police and district administration.
The CM said that Ram Lalla would give ‘darshan’ to all and assured people that the government, temple trust, and administration were working tirelessly to ensure smooth ‘darshan’ for Lord Ram’s devotees.
Even before the break of dawn, devotees braved the winter chill to stand in queue for ‘darshan’.
Despite being in Lucknow, the CM kept a watchful eye on Ayodhya. To ensure the safety and convenience of devotees, he dispatched principal secretary, home, Sanjay Prasad and director general (law and order) Prashant Kumar to Ayodhya.
Later, Yogi, along with senior officials, conducted an aerial survey of Ram Janmabhoomi and Ram Path and took stock of the arrangements.
Based on his observations, he directed Ayodhya district magistrate to deploy magistrates at eight strategic locations to manage peace, security, traffic, and public order. Thereafter, he reached the Ram temple and met the office bearers of the temple trust to discuss steps for effective crowd management.
By afternoon, approximately three lakh devotees had already got ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla. The doors were kept open for a longer duration to accommodate the ever-growing crowd so that no devotee left the temple disappointed.
Ayodhya police remained vigilant, and personnel were deployed at all duty points to guarantee a safe and peaceful ‘darshan’. Suspicious vehicles and individuals were checked at inter-district borders and checkpoints, leaving no room for any security glitch.
