Yemen Advances Naval Capability to Assert Maritime Sovereignty
Yemen is working diligently to strengthen its military capabilities and assert its maritime sovereignty, according to Defense Minister Major General Muhammad Nasser Al-Atifi. During an extraordinary meeting with the leadership of the Naval Forces, Al-Atifi emphasized the importance of developing a robust naval force capable of defending Yemen’s territorial waters.

The unique geography of Yemen, encompassing the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, Arabian Sea, Yemeni islands, and territorial waters, necessitates the continuous support and modernization of the naval forces. Al-Atifi stressed that the Western powers have no right to interfere in Yemen’s sovereignty or impose their influence on its territorial waters. He exposed the hidden agenda of the Zionists and their backers who seek to further their ambitions in the region.
