Yamaha has introduced its new True X range, a home theatre system that offers authentic Dolby Atmos sound without confining you to just one room. The highlight of the line-up is the SR-X50A soundbar, which comes with a separate wireless subwoofer for an immersive movie experience. For those looking for a more affordable option, the SR-X40A soundbar is available, which can be paired with an optional SW-X100A subwoofer later on. Furthermore, adding two WS-X1A wireless speakers will create a 4.1.2 Atmos surround sound setup.

These soundbars come with HDMI eARC outputs, HDMI in and optical audio connections, as well as AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth compatibility for wireless listening. The True X range also includes Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, along with built-in Amazon Alexa voice control. To enhance the user experience, Yamaha has developed the Sound Bar Controller smartphone app, which allows users to easily control their soundbars.

Yamaha’s True X range stands out from its predecessors by utilizing racetrack-style speaker drivers instead of the traditional circular mid-range and tweeter combination. This new design ensures a more powerful and immersive sound, enhancing the overall audio experience.

What sets this system apart is the battery-powered WS-X1A wireless speakers. These compact cube-shaped speakers can be used individually by pressing the Solo button, allowing users to carry them around the house or even outside while streaming sound from a paired Bluetooth device. The WS-X1A speakers are IP67 water resistant and provide up to 12 hours of playback. They can be conveniently charged via USB-C.

The Yamaha True X line-up is expected to be available for purchase in September, offering customers a choice between Black, Carbon Grey, and Light Grey colors. The SR-X50A is priced at £799/€899, the SR-X40A at £549/€599, the SW-X100A at £299/€349, and each WS-X1A at £149/€169. It is important to note that pricing and availability may vary for customers in the United States.

Yamaha also plans to offer two bundles: one consisting of the SR-X50A soundbar and two WS-X1A wireless speakers, and another including the SR-X40A soundbar, SW-X100A subwoofer, and two WS-X1A speakers.

With its versatile features, cinematic sound quality, and expandability, the Yamaha True X range is an excellent choice for individuals looking to elevate their home theatre experience. Whether enjoying movies, music, or any form of entertainment, this comprehensive system provides an immersive and authentic audio experience that will satisfy even the most discerning users.
