WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: WSFS), celebrated the grand opening of its new banking office and Wiss Fiss Lounge in Philadelphia. Located at the WSFS Philadelphia headquarters at 1818 WSFS Bank Place on Market Street, the new banking office aims to further strengthen WSFS Bank’s commitment to the city.
The state-of-the-art banking office is situated in the heart of Center City and offers various amenities, including dedicated meeting offices for customers, a full-service ATM, and a modern banking environment. Additionally, WSFS Bank leased an additional 1,479 square feet in the building lobby to create the Wiss Fiss Lounge. This space will serve as a meeting place for building tenants, visitors, local businesses, and the community. It will also be available for hosting special events and will provide easy access to a variety of quick-serve food and beverage options.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by WSFS Bank Chairman, President, and CEO, Rodger Levenson, Chief Consumer Banking Officer, Shari Kruzinski, representatives from the State of Pennsylvania, City of Philadelphia, Center City District, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation, WSFS Associates, as well as customers and community partners. The celebration also featured a performance by a Mummers string band and an appearance by Phang, the Philadelphia Union’s mascot.
The grand opening event also marked the WSFS CARES Foundation’s first grant of 2024. WSFS Bank’s charitable giving arm provided a $10,000 grant to the Gift of Life Howie’s House, an organization that provides temporary, affordable lodging and supportive services to transplant patients and their families traveling to Philadelphia for transplant-related care.
Shari Kruzinski expressed her excitement about the new banking office and Wiss Fiss Lounge, stating, We look forward to welcoming customers to our new banking office and Wiss Fiss Lounge. This location will provide a full range of amenities to meet customers’ needs and space to share with customers, community members, and our fellow tenants of 1818 Market Street.
