The Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) Ad Hoc Committee reassured young wrestlers that the U-15 and U-20 national championships will be held in February 2024 in Gwalior, according to an official release. The committee also advised the wrestlers to continue training and practicing for the upcoming events until further details are announced. The Ad Hoc Committee is committed to addressing the concerns raised by the young wrestlers and is planning to organize the championships within the next 6 weeks at the Lakshmibai National Institute Of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Gwalior. The committee has already taken several initiatives, including the selection of a 13-member Indian team for the 1st Ranking Series Zagreb Open Wrestling tournament in Croatia and the scheduling of the senior national championships in February 2024. National camps for senior wrestlers are also being organized to prepare for the Olympic Qualifying tournaments and the Senior Asian Championships. Through these efforts, the Ad Hoc Committee reaffirms its commitment to the growth and development of wrestling in India.
