Indian long jumper Jeswin Aldrin, who is the season’s world leader, has withdrawn from the upcoming Diamond League in Lausanne, Switzerland due to not being fully fit for the event. Aldrin participated in the National Inter-State Championships, where he finished second behind fellow Indian Murali Sreeshankar, who won a bronze in the Paris leg of the Diamond League. Aldrin reportedly wants to spend more time achieving full fitness before continuing his participation in athletics events. Aldrin is the world leader this season after his national record jump of 8.42m in March, while Sreeshankar is second in the World Athletics’ top list with an 8.41m effort.
